FROM THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Dear Parents/Caregivers

HARMONY DAY

Our St Patrick’s community celebrated this special day on Friday, 21st March 2025, with a Liturgy of the Word to thank God for our diverse and unique school community. A vibrant and colourful parade followed, with participants in National Dress or orange, then morning tea was provided for parents, and frosty fruits for students at recess.

SPORTS DAY

Last week concluded with our exciting school Sports Day, with students enthusiastically donning their house colours. It was wonderful to see so many parents showing their support throughout the day. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Nicole Johnson, our dedicated PE teacher, for preparing the students during Term 1 lessons and to the staff who arrived early to set up. Ms. Johnson’s commitment to fostering sporting opportunities is truly commendable. Congratulations to all the students for their efforts and encouragement of one another!

The winning team for 2025 was

PARENT/STUDENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Effective communication builds strong parent-teacher partnerships, fostering discussions that positively impact academic success and student aspirations. This week’s Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews have been valuable, and thanks go to all parents who participated. Those unable to attend are encouraged to arrange an alternative meeting time.  Appointments to meet with teachers can be made throughout the year to discuss student progress.

PROJECT COMPASSION

As we are nearing the end of the Liturgical Season of Lent, it is time to return the Project Compassion boxes to school with any donations you might have collected. School Card 2025 must be applied for online each year and the instructions are in this newsletter. If you have any problems please come and see me if you are having any issues.

Playgroup SA has partnered with the Office for the Early Years (Department of Education) to provide free development checks for children aged 12 months to 4 years. The checks provide an opportunity to monitor your child’s development, identify any concerns and celebrate milestones. A development check helps to monitor whether a child is meeting the milestones for their age (such as dressing or talking). Please note this is not a health check.

Please contact Chau Tran 8303 4500 if you would like further information or would like to book in child development check.
